Opiew Cham, Ed.D.

Opiew Cham, ACM’s board chair, was a founding president of Partners in Africa; an organization that delivered reliefs in Africa. The organization was based here in St. Paul. He currently works at Collins Aerospace as inspector, Burnsville, MN. He worked as an instructor for adult education at Trinity Valley Community College, Athens, Texas, a computer science teacher career and technology coordinator at Legacy and Landmark Academy high school in Kaufman and Palestine, Texas. He returned to Ethiopia and became president of Gambella University, Gambella , Ethiopia.
Opiew earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration (BS) from East West University, Chicago, Illinois, received master’s degree in computer system analysis (MSS) from University of St. Thomas, and earned a doctor degree in education Leadership (Ed. D) from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
