Rev. Gilo Agwa
Board Member
Rev. Gilo Agwa, ACM’s board member, is an ordained pastor. He worked for the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus East Gambella Bethel Synod (EECMY-EGBS) in different positions. He worked as an executive secretary, a Department for Mission and Evangelism Director, and a Development and Social Services Commission director consecutively from 2000–2011. He also coordinated a one-year rehabilitation project funded by the Norwegian Church Aid for East and West Gambella Bethel Synods. He served as a vice president of East Gambella Bethel Synod, a board member of the Gambella Peace and Development Council, and a board member of the Gambella Evangelical Churches Fellowship.
Currently, Rev. Gilo Agwa is serving as a pastor for the Foundation of Life Faith Community in Roseville, MN. He is also a chaplain at Sanford Health/Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in Stillwater, MN. He is a board chairperson of the South Sudanese Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (SSELCA).
Rev. Gilo Agwa holds his Associate degree in Leadership from the Mekane Yesus Seminary, bachelor’s degree in leadership & Development studies from the Mekane Yesus Management and Leadership College in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He also holds his Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Arts in Missional Christianity (MAMC) from the University of Dubuque, IA. Currently he is attending a one-year coaching training from International Coaching Federation (ICF). Rev. Gilo Agwa lives in Stillwater MN with his wife and children. He loves nature and walking in the parks, forests, around lakes and rivers etc.
